A sculptural object designed to bring warmth, atmosphere, and quiet presence to a space.

Handcrafted in bio-based resin, each LAINA sculptural object is shaped through a slow and highly manual process, resulting in organic forms rich in depth, movement, and subtle variation. As light changes throughout the day, the sculpture reveals new layers and reflections, inviting closer observation.

Display LAINA as a sculpture or illuminate it with an LED candle to create a soft atmospheric glow. The transparent base is waterproof.

As every LAINA sculptural object is handcrafted, subtle variations in shape, surface, and expression may occur.

Please note, the LED candles shown in the photographs are not included.

MATERIAL

Handcrafted in bio-based resin made partly from renewable biological resources and recycled plastic.

The resin is produced by a family-owned company in France under energy-efficient conditions before making its way to the Waves.STUDIO workshop in Aarhus, Denmark, where each piece is shaped entirely by hand.

Bio-based resin is waterproof, UV-resistant and highly durable, allowing each object to retain its color and character. The material also has a unique ability to absorb light, be transparent and reveal subtle details.

CARE

Designet til at blive brugt i mange år fremover. Selvom biobaseret resin er vandtæt, UV-resistent og meget holdbar, har den også gavn af lidt pleje.

Undgå langvarig udsættelse for temperaturer over 40 °C, barske kemikalier og slibende rengøringsprodukter.

In-stock pieces are typically dispatched within 3-5 business days within the EU (complimentary shipping) and 5-10 business days for destinations outside the EU.

Please note that bespoke commissions and made-to-order pieces may require additional production time, as each work is handcrafted from scratch.

What are Waves.STUDIO pieces made of?

At Waves.STUDIO I use bio-based resinas my main materiale for all my pieces.Bio-based resin is a lightweight, translucent material made from renewable resources and recycled plastic waste. It combines durability with the ability to form soft, organic shapes. All Waves.STUDIO pieces are waterproof, UV-resistant, and made to last. Read more about my material here

What can I expect the final artwork to look like?

At Waves.STUDIO in Aarhus, I create handmade sculptural vases, decorative lighting, and contemporary artworks using bio-based resin. Variations in shape, texture, and finish are part of what makes your piece uniquely yours. Every piece is accompanied by a certificate stating its exact dimensions and edition number.

Can I customize my artwork?

Yes. Waves.STUDIO offers bespoke pieces tailored to your individual preferences - including customized sizing, a wide array of colour, and entirely new designs. I also do project-based collaborations and custom commissions for private clients, brands, and organizations to develop design solutions, art objects, and site-specific projects.

How do I clean my new object?

Each Waves.STUDIO object is handmade in bio-based resin. The material is water-repellent, UV-resistant and very durable, but does not react well to high temperatures, harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents. A gentle cleaning with lukewarm water and mild soap is all that is needed to maintain the object's appearance and quality.

When are new designs released?

New Waves.STUDIO designs are released throughout the year as they are completed. Each piece is developed at its own pace, with a focus on craftsmanship, material exploration, and artistic expression rather than fixed production schedules.
